We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Support Officer to join a government team in Canberra on an initial contract through to June 2027, with a potential 12-month extension.

This role will support asset management, warehouse operations and logistics services across a geographically dispersed workforce. You’ll assist with the full asset lifecycle, inventory management, logistics requests and the deployment of equipment for major operational events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the procurement, allocation, tracking, maintenance and disposal of organisational assets

  • Maintain accurate asset and inventory records using asset management systems

  • Assist with warehouse operations, relocations and palletised shipments

  • Coordinate and resolve logistics requests through ServiceNow, email and other channels

  • Support the deployment, setup and recovery of ICT equipment and logistics assets

  • Assist with national activities and major operational events

  • Identify opportunities to improve logistics processes and systems

  • Work closely with the Logistics Manager and broader team to maintain operational readiness


About You To be successful, you will have:

  • Experience in asset management, logistics, inventory or related disciplines

  • Demonstrated experience managing the asset lifecycle across multiple locations

  • Strong knowledge of asset tracking and inventory management systems

  • Experience with warehouse operations, relocations or event logistics

  • Strong organisational and coordination skills

  • Ability to work independently under limited direction while contributing effectively to a team

  • Experience with ServiceNow or an enterprise asset management platform is highly desirable

  • Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Manual Handling, White Card, First Aid or Forklift are advantageous
